This course is designed for staff that are contributing to the risk assessment process.

The course aim is to assist staff with the identification of hazards and implementation of appropriate controls.

On successful completion of the course, you should be able to:

• Understand the basic principles of a risk assessment.
• Understand the role of the risk assessor and types of risk assessment.
• Understand the five steps to risk assessment approach to risk assessment.
• Apply these steps to undertake a workplace risk assessment.
