This short course is for anyone who requires a foundation level understanding of fire safety to aid them in reading, interpreting, and actioning any elements of a fire risk assessment.
This course aims to provide you with key information to enable you to contribute to the Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) process by having a greater understanding of how FRAs are undertaken using the five steps approach to risk assessment.
Upon completion of the qualification, learners will:
- Understand the importance of fire risk assessments.
- Understand the principles of controlling the risks from fire.
- Understand what a fire risk assessment is and its various components.
- Understand how to analyse and act upon the recommendations within a fire risk assessment.
The course is divided into 3 elements:
- Element 1: Introduction to Fire.
- Element 2: Fire Safety Legislation & Responsibilities Relating to Risk Assessment.
- Element 3: Fire Risk Assessment.
The learner’s ability to meet the learning outcomes is assessed via a multi-choice assessment exercise.
On successful completion of this course, delegates are provided with a certificate of completion.
