FAQs about Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Works Supervision
How long does the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision (Construction) qualification take?
The NVQ program offered by Health Matters presents a 'Fast Track' option for candidates. However, the completion time for the Level 3 OWS varies based on individual circumstances. Factors such as motivation, workload, and experience level influence the duration of qualification attainment.
Typically, the Fast Track option can be completed from enrolment to certification on average within 3 months. Nonetheless, candidates receive a supportive framework lasting 12 months. Upon induction, an assessment plan is created with the assessor, establishing time-bound targets for the individual's progression.
What is the Fast Track Route?
The Fast Track route involves limited written work and direct assistance from the assessor over two non-consecutive days on-site. The candidate must ensure they are freed up for these days to focus solely on the NVQ. The candidate will be asked to pre-organise 'Supporting Evidence' before each of the two days – the assessor will provide exactly what is needed before each day. During these on-site days, the assessor will undergo 'Professional Discussions' (PD). PDs are recorded conversations between the candidate and the assessor about their daily supervisory activities in construction. The assessor will guide these conversations to ensure the candidate explains their experience related to the qualification's 'Assessment Criteria'. The assessor may also help upload 'Supporting Evidence' to the ePortfolio.
After the two on-site days, the candidate may have to upload additional supporting evidence and organise their ePortfolio for their qualification (with additional electronic support from the assessor).
