Who is it for?
This course is aimed at managers whose responsibility is to support staff, specifically their mental health, during the COVID-19 pandemic and on return to the workplace.
What will I learn?
This course allows managers to consider the concerns and anxieties employees may experience in returning to the workplace after the ‘work from home’ COVID-19 message has been lifted and think about actions which can support and promote positive mental health in employees upon their return to the office and hybrid working.
What will I be able to do?
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Explain how the pandemic may affect an individual’s mental health.
- Appreciate employees’ concerns about returning to the workplace and hybrid working.
- Have a supportive one-to-one conversation on an employee’s return to the workplace.
- Identify good practice which supports positive mental wellbeing on a return to the workplace and hybrid working.
- Using the Health and Safety Executive’s Stress Management Standards, consider changes and support that promote a mentally healthy culture.
