Examples include written explanations of past experiences, references from others or questions and observations led by the assessor.
The qualification has the following mandatory units:
- Risk reduction
- Development of health and safety procedures
- Monitoring performance
- Promoting a positive safety culture
- Conducting risk assessments
In addition, candidates must choose any two of the below optional units:
- Investigate and evaluate accidents, incidents, and complaints
- Protecting the environment
- Reviewing health and safety procedures
- Supervising others in the workplace
