(via Blended Learning)
Did you know that all workplace first aiders must complete requalification training every 3 years s in order to continue carrying out their role?
The QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) Requalifying Course is specifically designed to allow first aiders to renew their first aid at work qualification when their certificate is due to expire.
During this 2 day course, candidates will have the opportunity to practise essential first aid procedures, as well as learn the latest techniques for dealing with emergency situations and managing injuries and illnesses in the workplace.
What’s more, as a regulated qualification, employers can book this course for their employees and rest assured that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training, without having to undertake any lengthy due diligence checks.
The objective of the qualification is to benefit Learners by enabling them to update knowledge and practical competencies required to deal with a range of first aid situations to enable learner to continue with their role of being a Qualified First Aider in the workplace.

Expired FAAW Certificates
First aid At Work requalification courses are only 12 hours in duration, compared to 18 hours for the initial course. This means that the syllabus is covered at a significantly faster pace in the understanding that learners are familiar with the topics.
If the learners previous First Aid at Work certificate has expired by more than 28 days at the start of a First aid At Work requalification course HSE guidance is clear in that the individual would no longer be considered competent as a first aider in the workplace and the individual must complete a 3 day course.
For these reasons, all employers must make every effort to requalify a first aider before their certificate expires.
